Our Process

The first step in any refinishing project is an in-person consultation. I will come to your home and evaluate your cabinets, provide you with my professional opinion, and an estimate. If you decide to use my process I will provide you with a color consultation. When we schedule a start date I will remove the cabinet doors and drawer fronts, prep your kitchen, prep your cabinet boxes to start the refinishing process. After the boxes are painted and they are completely cured, which takes 2-3 days, you can continue using your kitchen. It takes time for premium paint to completely cure on its own. As Lisa’s father says, “you can’t rush chemicals.”

This method allows you to use your kitchen as normal throughout the refinishing process. Forget about the hassle of refacing or replacing old cabinets, refinishing allows for a less intrusive way to get the updated cabinets you deserve.

Back at the shop, the cabinet doors and drawer fronts get professionally prepped and painted to give you a fine and durable finish with your new look. Your cabinet doors and drawer fronts are professionally refinished with a high-quality, fine-finish spray gun in the hands of the owner, Lisa Musolino. Lisa, The Cabinet Queen, uses only the best materials and products there are on the market to ensure a long-lasting fine finish.

Once completed, the cabinet doors and drawer fronts are ready to be installed back at your home. I will even install any new hardware you provide. In 3-5 days we clean, prime sand and paint to give your cabinets a brand-new look! To provide a high-quality fine finish, I take extra steps to ensure you get the cabinets you deserve. We clean, prime, sand, and paint your cabinets to take your cabinets from looking mundane to magnificent. If you’re ready to start the process, give The Cabinet Queen a call today!
